Priest/Laurel Prom

Sister Skinner, who is in a different ward, contacted me about the Priest/Laurel Prom. She’s in need of WHITE Christmas lights for decorations. Here’s part of her email:

We are in need of multiple Small Clear or white (white cord) lights for the Priest Laurel Prom. It is on May 8th. We would need them by May 6th.

Holy Cow Cake

Holy Cow Cake
Serves: 20

Cake: 1 package (18.25 oz.) plain devil's food cake mix

Topping: 1 Jar (8 oz.) caramel topping
1 can (14 oz) Sweetened condensed milk
4 Butterfinger candy bars (2.1 oz. each), crushed
1 container (12 oz.) frozen whipped topping, thawed
1 package cream cheese (8 oz.), at room temperature

1. Place a rack in the center of the oven and preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. and grease a 9 X 13 baking pan. Set aside.
2. Bake cake. Remove from oven and place on a wire rack. Immediately poke holes in the top of the cake with a drinking straw or chopsticks. ( I used the end of a wooden spoon)
3. Prepare the topping. Place the caramel topping and sweetened condensed milk in a small bowl and stir to combine. Spoon this mixture over the warm cake so that it can seep down into the holes. Measure out half of the crushed candy bars and sprinkle the pieces over the cake.
4. Place the whipped topping and cream cheese in a large mixing bowl and blend with an electric mixer on low speed until smooth and combined, 1 minute. Spread the mixture over the top of the candy. Sprinkle the remaining candy pieces on top.
5. Place the pan, uncovered, in the refrigerator to chill the cake for about 20 minutes before cutting it into squares and serving.
(Store this cake, covered in waxed paper, in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.)

Parents and Supporters of the YW

Tomorrow night is the Girls Camp Kick Off and Sister J. wants everyone to know Parents and Supporters should come if they'd like!

Also, a week from tomorrow, will be New Beginnings for YW and we want to make sure EVERYONE comes to support the young women and meet the girls who are new in YW!

These 72 hour kits were spotlighted at Super Saturday this year.

72 Hour Food Kit
(Kit requires 2 liters of water, a plastic spoon, and a plastic grocery bag folded.) Items are packed in a Rubbermaid one gallon clear container with lid – Wal Mart product No. 007169122967. The contents of this kit were analyzed by an expert for proper nutrients.

Church Canceled

Hi Everyone!

This might not come as a surprise as I am sure you’ve already been informed, but church has been canceled tomorrow. The Stake President has asked that we have in home devotionals.

If anyone knows of any families in need of anything due to the extra cold conditions please feel free to contact someone in the RS Presidency for help.

Wanted/Needed...to borrow!

The Young Women (and I am sure I can add in Young Men) are in need of warm snow clothing. Jackets, Snow Pants, Snow Suits, Boots. The Youth will be heading up on their annual Snow Trip December 26th and 27th (overnighter) and the YW President asked that I pass this around.

If you are able to lend your warm clothing to the youth it would be very appreciated.
